Which is sometimes fine and sometimes rather hard to live with. :) Or: Je suis comme je suis Je suis faite comme ça Quand j'ai envie de rire Oui je ris aux éclats  The origin of my RL name: When my mother told my father she was pregnant, he said it would going to be a girl and her name would be Adrianka. Simple as that. There's also a history to go with it. His father, my grandfather, who when on land lived in what's Serbia today, was a sailor. So I'm named after the Adriatic Sea. I love this story and I love my name having a meaning. The origin of my LJ username: Hvaharu is part of one of those private jokes which are only funny to those who were present on the "scene of the crime". In this case, my colleague Mirka and me. While translating a document on the imports of whatever from Sri Lanka, I was wondering aloud (as is the custom in our office)... A: Is Ceylon the island still named Ceylon and Sri Lanka is only the name of the state? M: Can't see what you mean. A: You know, the same thing as if Iceland was the name of the island on which there'd be... the Republic of Hvaharu. I don't know why I said that, but it's stuck with me. We've used it as a reaction to absurd things ever since; and we call everything bizzare a hvaharu. I've learned in the past that new words don't come accidentally, and indeed, once I decided to start a LiveJournal I knew immediately what my username would be. It even has my (pen name) initials in it! Surely no coincidence at all. :D The origin of my pen name: This is a long and boring story. My pen name dates back to times when I discovered Star Wars, started to write fiction in English and wished to be called Helena. ;-) Helen Vader was just a result of my Star Wars/Helena obsession combined with a firm belief of a naive teenager that an English-writing author needs an English-sounding pen name. Years later, when I decided to publish a poem at FanFiction.Net and found out that most people don't write under their real name even if it sounds English, good old Helen suddenly came in handy.
